Gotu Kola Hydrocotyle asiatica (fo-ti-tieng, Solomon's seal)
Chinese meaning "elixir for long life." The herb grows in Ceylon, south China and Southwest Asia.
It’s action is aromatic, diuretic, corrective and nutritive. It possess the virtue of promoting health and longevity and is considered "food for the brain”. Besides being a defense against old age it also is useful for: fever reduction, bowel disorders, immune system strengthening, nervous disorders, inflammation and more.
Ginseng “the wonder of the world.”
It is another herb used for centuries in China as remedy for many diseases and for relief from body fatigue. In Western world it is used in loss of appetite and in digestive problems.
A recipe for the elixir of youth, a type of garlic extract, was found in1971 by a UNESCO team in a Tibetan monastery and was dated about 4-5 centuries B.C. The extract cleans accumulated fat out of the body, rinses out insoluble calcium, radically improves metabolism, cleanses blood vessels, prevents heart attacks, arteriosclerosis, and paralysis, removes the sensation of buzzing from the head, improves sight, and regenerates the entire body.
To maintain long and healthy life it is important to eat food containing the following minerals:
- Calcium - essential for teeth, bones, nails, hair
- Phosphorus - essential for teeth, bones and growth stimulant. Also vital to the brain.
- Iron - is vital for blood.
- Iodine - essential to the thyroid glad which controls metabolism and our emotional reactions.
- Other important minerals: manganese, potassium, magnesium.
